Musician turned Landlady Shirley Jane Errey took over The Cavendish Arms in late 2007 and renovated it into a cultural hub of South West London which explores and showcases the best in new and up and coming Comedy, Music, Burlesque and Performance that the capital has to offer. In 2010 she employed promoter and entrepreneurial visual artist Tristan J C Scutt as Venue Manager.
All the staff at The Cavendish Arms work within the entertainment industry, so we all understand the needs of the many musicians, comics and performers who perform here.
We are open from 4pm until late every day (1.30am Fri & Sat!) and have events in the Backroom seven nights a week, spanning music, comedy, burlesque, theatre, and performance, and of which many are FREE ENTRY or reduced priced entry (check listings for full details).
The pub, backroom and gardens are also available FOR HIRE every day between 9am and 6.30pm and are ideal for photo shoots, rehearsals and auditions. If you would like to perform at one of our nights, are interested in promoting your own event, or have a celebration coming up then please get in contact!
