The Cavendish Arms is a hidden gem only 6 mins walk from Stockwell tube. Taken over by Landlady Shirley-Jane in November 2007, it now incorporates The Ballroom music venue which is home to live music and comedy 7 nights a week including The Monday Night Free Music Show!, a free entry night featuring 6 indie, acoustic or rock bands each playing 20min sets from 8pm and our ever popular Comedy Virgins stand up open mic night now running every Tuesday. If music and comedy isn’t your cup of tea, then come in any evening from 6pm and say hello to our friendly staff and enjoy a drink in our cosy pub; with comfy leather chesterfields, open fire (during the winter!) and the smell of the delicious pies available all evening.

Walking through from the pub to The Ballroom music venue you could be forgiven for thinking you were in a different era. The glamorous and intimate venue is reminiscent of an old theatre with beautiful atmospheric lighting setting the scene before the huge glitter ball starts up throwing dazzling light around the gold walls & black and white chequered dance floor.

Free entry to venue with live music for birthday parties on Fridays and Saturdays plus private hire of the ballroom for your own private disco from 11pm till 1am!
